ELVIRA MESSINA is an Associate at Callinan & Smith LLP, having joined the New York office in 2023. Elvira specializes in the representation of insurance carriers in the arbitration forum, as well as affirmative litigation in the form of declaratory judgment actions.

Elvira is admitted to practice in the State of New York. She obtained her law degree from Fordham University’s School of Law, and her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. While in law school, Elvira enjoyed volunteering her time to Habitat for Humanity and the Housing Advocacy Project where she gained experience in the civil right to counsel initiative for New Yorkers facing housing instability and homelessness, and individual and group legal representation in housing court. Elvira also had the opportunity to intern with the Juvenile Rights Division of The Legal Aid Society, and the Highbridge Community Center in Bronx, New York where she provided pro bono legal assistance to constituents of the area.

 

Elvira enjoys sharing time and good food with her family and friends and travelling.
