SOPHIA M. URRUTIA is an Associate at Callinan & Smith LLP. She joined the team in May 2025. Her practice includes insurance coverage disputes and suspect/fraudulent insurance claims in the state courts as well as before the American Arbitration Association.

Ms. Urrutia received her Juris Doctor Degree with a concentration in Sports Law from Tulane University Law School in 2023. During law school, she was a member and coach of the Alternative Dispute Resolution team and held internships with the U.S. District Court - Eastern District of New York, New York City Civil Court, National Football League Players Association, and National Labor Relations Board. She graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2016, with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Spanish. Ms. Urrutia was admitted to practice in the State of New York in 2025 and is a member of the New York City Bar Association and Latino Lawyers Association of Queens County.​
